So I’m taking an Anatomy and Physiology course and I’m actually really enjoying it. I’ve always been intrigued by science but it wasn’t until high school that I learned the different types of sciences, such as: biology, physical science, earth science, and now anatomy and physiology. I’m in Anatomy and Physiology lab which is taught by Professor Billerman and we are learning about the different structures in a cell and their functions and how they work together to perform a specific function. He is very helpful in the fact that he helps explain things in more detail and gives us examples that we are familiar with to help us remember them better. I love teachers like that who can take something that’s very complex and break it down so I can understand it. I’m a very visual person, so graphics and demonstrations help me to remember things. I know this class will be a challenge for me because there is a lot to learn and we have to stay on schedule. The cell is one of my favorite parts of science because it’s interesting how the cell works and how mitosis and meiosis occurs. This class is going to also be fun because we get to look into microscopes and look at things live. Like I said I'm a very visual person so this is perfect. Although this class may be a little difficult I know I can do it because I have a great teacher and I will try my best to be the best because I know I'll have to apply this in the feild I want to go into later.

I am really jealous that you have a good professor for your anatomy and physiology!! I am taking that class, and my professor is awful. I am pretty sure that most people in the class are failing, because it is ridiculously hard! My professor doesn't give us any study guides or any kind of guidance about what will be on our tests, so we all fail. We take quizzes every now and then, but they are very hard as well. I am very disappointed, because it is not going to look good on my transcript if I do not do well in this class. That is awesome that your professor gives you good examples to help you learn the material. These anatomy and physiology classes are very detailed and complex, so any kind of simple explanations would help tremendously. My teacher doesn't really do any of that for us, so it is very hard to learn the material.Everything is so complex, and we have a ton of notes that are pointless. He reads off powerpoint slides that make no sense, so that is really the only thing I have to study. We have to practically teach ourselves which is very hard to do because we don't understand it. Also, there are hundreds of slides to study for one test, so it is pretty much impossible to get through all the material on your own. Next semester, I got a different professor for Anatomy and Physiology 2, so I am hoping it is a little better.
