In Class Prompt #2

The object that I brought in today is my own personal journal. I’ve had this journal for about 5 years. This journal is a short hard covered book. It’s made out of a nicely polished red wood that has in scripted words on the front. The pages are pretty firm and thick and they are outlined in a gold lining. This book is pretty rough and firm in texture, but it is something that’s meant to be a keep sake. This book has a lock on the front of it, so when you are done writing your heart away you can lock it up so no one else can see your work. When the book opens the pages stick together because I don’t use it that often. When I do use it, it is easy to write on because the pages are soft. The pages have a yellowish tent to them and the smell of freshly printed paper. If I were to taste this book, I’m sure it would taste salty or even bitter, so I’m planning to have this nowhere near my mouth. If I were to write about something it would be of how my day went or even how my date went. This book also has a little gold tassel that runs up the middle of the book, so you can mark your place if need be. This book is related to reading and writing to my because it’s a place I can write without being judged. It’s somewhat like a safe haven for my thoughts.
