In Class Assignment #9

So I’m out shopping in New York for my sisters baby that is about to arrive in 2 weeks. I love targets baby section because they have a variety of cute baby clothes. I see the cutest little dress that has sparkles and glitter on it. I can just imagine dressing my little niece up in the cutest clothes. I turn around to see the rest of the selection they have and I bump into ex-boyfriend Brian. I am immediately shock and flabbergasted to see him because I thought he moved to California. Anyways I didn’t know what to say. He then replies, don’t I know you? We both start to laugh. I then remember how funny he used to be. Next walks up a woman, at that moment I introduce myself and I say nice to meet you. Brian then informs me that this is his wife and that they are out shopping for baby clothes because they are expecting a child in a few months. I am immediately taken back because when I and he were dating he said that he didn’t see marriage in his future at all. Brian shows no type of feeling in the situation. She smiles and tells me her name is Tracey. I congratulate her on her marriage and her pregnancy since she has no idea me and her husband used to date not too long ago. She walk away and says it was nice to meet you and continues to go back and look for baby clothes. I scold him for about ten seconds and walk off.

  1. Okay, I know this is a story but I am going to write to you just as if it was real. lol
I think that it is awesome that you can just go to New York and go shopping! That has always been one of my deams. I would spend so, so much money there it isn;t even funny. I've always wanted to go there. What's it like? From watching the ball drop on t.v. every New Tears, it seems huge, and so beautiful! I'm sure it has it's bad areas just like everywhere else. Are the shops there bigger and better than here in Ohio? I've been shopping in Myrtle Beach before and they just have so many shops, but so many of them have the smae stuff in them and it get's a little boring sometimes, but they also have malls with all kinds of different things. One of my favorites is the Coach store! I walk in there and I just want to buy EVERYTHING. I also went shopping at Target for my sister when she was having her baby, but I wasn't lucky enough to get to go to New York :( ha I was just here in lame Ohio. I do agree that they have so much stuff there for babies, and it's very cute too. She had a boy, so I didn't get to buy the cute girly stuff, but theh things that I did buy was still very cute! The whole ex-boyfriend thing, would just make me so upset! I know it's not real, but still. I think that your story was very cool and real-like. :)

  2. HI Jerica!! I love your story! Like Aggie said, I know it is made up, but it sounds cute! It has always ten on my bucket list to go to New York someday! It is kind of scary because of all the terrorist attacks that have happened there, but I think it would be so much fun and a great experience. Also, I love Target! I really wish Lima had a Target, because they seriously have everything! I love their clothes section, shoes, and jewelry. I also love how they have a food section if you need groceries, and anything you need for your home. I bought a lot of my college stuff there for my apartment. I like how you explained the little dress you bought for your niece. I know it is made up, but I can just picture the little sparkly dress. I have a lot of little girl cousins and I would love to buy them clothes all of the time! I like the way you proceed to talk about the ex boyfriend and his wife. I couldn't imagine what I would do if I were put in this situation. I would be in complete shock and probably really humiliated. I like how you said the wife just walked away and didn't know how you two dated and then you scolded him. Very dramatic, yet very reasonable! I would probably say something that wouldn't be very nice if I were put in that situation, because I would be very shocked and have many questions for my ex.
