I’ve seen Juno once before, but it didn’t really catch my attention. It was just one of those movies that you just watch to watch. By reading what the critic wrote on it, it made me think a little bit more about it and try to think from her perspective. I agree with her when she says that Juno wasn’t a good role model, because getting pregnant while still in high school is not a good thing. Things usually don’t get better for you and you have to struggle a little harder in life. I wouldn’t want my little sister to think that it would be cool to get pregnant at such a young age, but face it its reality. Things happen and people just have to deal with the consequences. I also agreed with her when she was talking about how she sort of kept cool during all this. Juno could be considered a role model in a sense of her maturity and how she handled the situation. She was going to give the baby up to a much more stable family that could provide for the baby in ways that she just couldn’t. She also showed her vulnerability when she honestly thought that the baby’s father would still want her to be his date to the dance. This was a key feature in the story because it was relatable to many teen moms who have boyfriends that leave them only because they are pregnant, which is very sad. Overall I liked the review on this movie because it gave some good and bad and it wasn’t just based on opinions alone.
